Meet Dr. Barry R. Stein
After receiving his DMD degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Stein completed his internship and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery, also at the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is licensed by the state of Pennsylvania to administer all types of anesthesia, including general anesthesia.
Dr. Stein has served as past President of the Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and he currently represents central Pennsylvania as a delegate to the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. While holding staff privileges at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, Lewistown Hospital and Clearfield Hospital, Dr. Stein also chairs the Credentials Committee at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, a position he has held for the past ten years.
Since 1980, Dr. Stein has been in private practice with Tri-County Oral-Facial Surgeons, PC, a practice that serves central Pennsylvania in Centre, Mifflin, Clearfield and Clinton counties. His special interests in oral and maxillofacial surgery include major facial reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, temporomandible joint and implant dentistry.
Dr. Stein is actively involved in both the civic and cultural life of Centre County. An avid runner, hiker and exercise enthusiast, Dr. Stein lives in State College with his wife, Ellen and their two children, Eric and Andrea.
