Instructions for Homecare Following Sinus Opening
- Avoid blowing your nose, you may experience slight nasal oozing this is normal,
- When you rinse your mouth you may feel some fluid come out of your nose.
- NO SMOKING: this will decay the closure.
- Most small sinus perforations will close all by them self.
- Take the antibiotics as prescribed, if nasal spray and decongestions were prescribed use as directed.
- Avoid the use of a straw; if you need to sneeze do this with out trying to keep your mouth closed.
- Return for follow-up as suggested.
